Hugh Courtney Obituary

Washingtonville - Hugh M. Courtney passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Columbia Presbyterian Church in New York City. He was 57.

Hughie was born on September 10, 1950 in New York City, the beloved son Hugh J. Courtney and the late Alice Sailer Courtney.

Survivors include his father, Hugh J. Courntey of Monroe; Lucille Courtney of the Bronx; his sister, Alice and her husband, Daniel McNamee of Monroe. Hughie was the beloved uncle of nephews: Jeffrey McNamee and wife, Susan of Monroe, Michael McNamee and wife, Joan of Bronxville, and niece, Jennifer Llewellyn and husband, Mark of Bethlehem, Pa. He was also a beloved great uncle of Victoria and Michael McNamee.

Hugh was a kind and loving son, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 30, during the hours of 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, October 31, during the hours of 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 139 Stage Rd., Monroe, NY 10950.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 26 Still Rd., Monroe, N.Y. Interment will follow at St. Anastasia Parish Cemetery, Harriman, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New York Presbyterian Medical Center, 7 Hudson South, NS6 Unit, 177 Fort Washington Ave., New York, NY 10032, Attn: Charlotte Cabello, Director for Comprehensive Transplant Services.
