James 16 Obituary
James A. Murchison, 16, of Newburgh, NY, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus.
The son of James P. Kinney and Jannifer Murchison, he was born July 7, 1991 in Newburgh, NY.
James was a student at Heritage JHS in New Windsor, NY. He was an avid basketball player, family comedian, and very good gadget assembler. He loved to eat and was a very happy person.
Survivors include his father, James P. Kinney of Grandview, MO; mother, Jannifer Murchison and stepfather, Robert Coston of Covington, GA; sisters, Menesha Kinney of Missouri, Sabrea Murchison of Newburgh, NY, Ahkeila Coston of Covington, GA and Ikea Kinney of Missouri; brothers, Ashante Coston of Newburgh, NY, Joshua Kinney and Treyjon Kinney, both of Missouri; grandparents, Richard and Oweda of Krutchfield, MO; uncles, John Murchison of Highland Falls, NY, Howard Kinney, Jr., Robert Kinney and Christian Kinney, all of Missouri and Rashan King of Poughkeepsie, NY; aunts, Courtney Kinney of Missouri, Rasheda Worth of Raleigh, NC, Janice Selby of Florida, India S. of Kingston, NY and Shanikwa Lewis of Waterbury, CT. He also leaves behind his best friend/brother, Kenneth Edward Tatun, Jr.; close family friend, Cassandra Peoples, both of Newburgh, NY; a host of great uncles aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
He was predeceased maternal grandparents, John and Ann Murchison and Joyce King.
Visitation will be Friday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at House of Refuge International Ministries D.T.R.M, Inc., 127-131 Broadway, Newburgh, NY 12550.
Services begin at 12 noon at the church, with Bishop Jeffrey C. Woody officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
