John Mackey Obituary

John Mackey of Middletown, a retired Electrician for Helmsley & Spear in New York City, N.Y., and a resident of the area since 1988, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at Middletown Park Manor in Middletown, N.Y. He was 90 years old.

The son of the late James and Margaret Foster Mackey, he was born January 16, 1916 in Dunkineely, County Donegal, Ireland.

He was the husband of the late Lauretta Parker Mackey, who predeceased him in February of 2001.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Labuda and her husband, Joseph, of Middletown; son, John James Mackey and his wife, Renee, of Avon, Conn.; two grandchildren, Brian and Jason Labuda; sisters-in-law, Marie Will of Doylestown, Pa. and Jeannie Mackey of Ireland, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers: William, Hugh, Henry, Edward and David Mackey; and his sister, Lily Deane.

There will be no public viewing.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2006 at Scotchtown Presbyterian Church, 227 Blumel Road at 10 a.m. The Rev. Jean Risley will officiate. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, N.Y.
