Joseph Jessup: a beloved son, and my first friend. We knew each other since kindergarten, all the way until we parted ways in middle school. During his 17 year-long fight with cancer, he laughed, he smiled, most importantly, we shared those moments. He was like the 2nd brother I never had, as we knew one another on an intricate level.
May we meet again, Joey. Sincerely, Giovanni Nikko Boykin

Thinking of you today, Miss you a lot Joe! You were such a sweet kid, always stopped me in the hallway to say Hi, even if we were late to class. You had a special way of going about life and I loved it. You never really cared what others thought of you, and if you did it didn't show. Hope you're doing good wherever you are. Love you..

My deepest condolences go out to Josephs family and loved ones during this difficult time. Joseph was in my younger sisters class and whenever he saw me in school , even in a crowded hallway he would stop just to give me a hug and told me to have a great day . The last memory I have of him was dancing with him at our prom . God has gained such a beautiful & amazing soul . Rest In Peace

I like many others will miss Joe's smile. I had the pleasure of being one of his teachers. I enjoyed his humor and his love for building with legos. I will also always remember him sharing pictures of himself from his sister's wedding. He looked so handsome and he was so excited by being able to dress up. I will also miss seeing him wearing his cowboy boots. My deepest sympathies to the entire Jessup family as you grieve the loss of an incredibly wonderful young man who left this earth far too soon.

Joe was a down to earth friend. I will miss all the fun times we had together. I remember during PE he would wear his cowboy boots. He loved the time he spent in BOCES/CTEC for Culinary. He loved his legos. I wish he was still here for the opening of Lego land. You will be missed by all.

Always thought of you often " Lego Man"! Everyday you brought to class a new " master piece". Your only focus was that . Legos!
Always thought your life plan was to be a " Lego instructor" @ Legoland! But I guess you were called to be God's " Lego- Master". that was His plan! RIP Lego Man! Mrs. G

Joseph was not one of my students but he always came by my classroom to show me his latest and greatest Lego creation. Joseph knew I had Legos in my room and he was always welcomed to say hi or to build something new. I will always remember his jokes, his interest in building new Lego projects, and his very infectious smile. You will be missed my young friend. May you have fair winds and following seas Joseph, until we meet again.

I am honored to have been your teacher for 4 years. You came to us just a young kid or 14 years of age. I was privileged to see you grow into the man that you became by the age of 18. After you graduated you came back and took elective classes but you always stop by my class to say hello, I will miss our little chats. Legos with your favorite topic of conversation. I'm so sad that you never got to see Legoland in Goshen but when they open I will go and see it through your eyes. I was so hoping that you would be able to work there as you would have been such an asset because you could build Legos like nobody else could. Rest in peace Joe. Mrs Velez

I knew Joseph for years we had vision together,I also walked him to class and protected him at times he was a smart and funny guy who made people laugh with his funny jokes...I'm so hurt he was a kind caring friend I would have never guessed that he was going through this never would have thought he had cancer because he would have never really speak about his issue he was so happy and so funny and mad people happy that you would also believe his life was perfect...he just blessed everyone he talked too.I remember we was in highschool he would just see me in the hallway and just say the most craziest and funniest things while we walk to class and it would just brighten my day I'm just so sad that I couldn't see him one last time or anything I wish his family the best joe was legendary what a good friend and comedian he was I miss you and love you joe rest easy buddy you did your job on earth now heaven needs another angel
