Joseph Vander Meulen Obituary

Warwick, NY

Joseph Craig Vander Meulen, of Warwick, passed away on March 15, 2009 at St. Anthony's Hospital. He was 20 years old.

Born on February 16, 1989 in Middletown, he was the son of Philip and Barbara (Touw) Vander Meulen.

Joseph was a student at Orange County Community College and a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Greenwood Lake.

A family statement reads: "Joseph fought cancer valiantly for the past four years."

He is survived by his parents, Philip and Barbara Vander Meulen of Warwick; two brothers, Philip of Texas and Andrew of Warwick; a sister, Laura of Warwick; his maternal grandparents, Louise and John Yanick of Milford, PA; many aunts and uncles and lots of loving family.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, at Grace Lutheran Church, 21 Waterstone Road, Greenwood Lake.

Memorial donations may be sent to Make a Wish Foundation, 832 S. Broadway, The Wish House, Tarrytown, NY 10591.
