Kim Simpson Obituary
Kim W. Simpson, of Howells, died Sunday, January 18, 2009 unexpectedly at his residence. He was 63.
Kim was born in Middletown, NY on July 30, 1945, the son of the late John C. Simpson and Marjorie Jane Wilson. Following the death of his mother, he was raised by his father and step mother, Ellen K. Simpson.
Kim had two loves in his life, his wife Eileen of 28 years and his business, K. Simpson Roofing, LTD. for 43 years. He worked to provide for his greatest love, Eileen, so she could take care of their four children. Kim most enjoyed his last Thanksgiving with his sons & grandsons at hunting camp. He cooked often for his daughters, but is most known for his meatballs. He will be greatly missed, "Right hand to God!"
He was a member of the Howells Fire Company, B.P.O. Elks Club, Middletown, the Morton Hill Hunting Club, Roscoe, NY, and the Port Jervis Country Club.
He was the widower of Eileen T. Coger Simpson who predeceased him August 21, 1992.
He is survived by his four children: Tammy Bosco and her husband, Jon of Otisville, Kevin Simpson and his wife, Margo of Manassas, VA, Lynn Hoffman and her husband, Jody of Howells, and Darrin Simpson and his wife, Louise of Milford, PA; three brothers: Jon Simpson and his wife, Kay of Middleville, MI, Rex Simpson and his wife, Caren of Arkport, NY, and Tod Simpson of the state of Florida. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Tiffany, Jordan, Kim, Devin, Morgan, Marissa, Jacklyn, Jared, Ryan, Connor, and Riley and a sister-in-law, Nancy Vellake and her husband, Angelo. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, at Morse Funeral Home, Inc, 33 Railroad Ave., Middletown, NY.
Funeral services will be held at Otisville Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church, Otisville, NY, at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 23, with Reverend Jeffrey Farley officiating with interment in Wallkill Cemetery Phillipsburg, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kim's name may be made to the Morton Hill Hunting Club, Inc., 1002 Mountain Road, Port Jervis, NY 12771.
Arrangements are under the guidance of Morse Funeral Home, Inc.

Tammy, Lynn, Kevin and Darrin, and families, I was so very saddened by the news that your dad passed away. I have so many fond memories of him. He was such a generous man, always wanting to make sure that his guests (even us high school girls!) were happy. Breakfasts were his specialty! He always made sure that I had blueberry eggo's! I will always remember his smiling face at the airport as we (Tammy, Margie, Linda, and myself) got off the plane from our trip to Florida for Spring Break. He (and the rest of our fathers) were standing there holding a welcome home sign. Big smiles on their faces! That is the Mr. Simpson that I remember. A loving father and husband. Your dad (grandpa) was a great man! I have MANY fond memories of being at your house growing up and just enjoying being with both your mom and your dad. There is no way to say this but here goes. In your eyes I can tell that you loved us all so much. I remember when Jared, Kim and I were playing football-Kim wall all time QB and you were having a blast watching us. I remember when you came to Morgans' Birthday and we decorated the stuffed animals and you were laughing and smiling. I am so saddened to hear about the passing of your father. He was truly one of those people you meet who is bigger than life. Always with a smile on his face that went from ear to ear and a "How ya doing Johnny boy! " every time I saw him and I will always think of him as that tough as nails pop warner coach who made all of us better players and better people. Even my first vehicle was a souvenir from Kim Simpson Roofing LTD a Ford Pickup two tone (white cab green bed) only rolled once but like it's previous owner tough as nails and dependable as a good hunting dog. You never realize how much someone touches your life until they are gone from it. I will miss him but he left a part of himself with everyone that he met. I hope he is at peace now. To Jon, Todd, and the rest of the Simpson family, I grew up with Kim and Angelo Vellake when ya'll lived on Wickham Ave, Middletown. We were back yard neighbors. We did some crazy things together back in those days. Like diving out of the 2nd story door in the barn to a 3 foot high swimming pool filled with 2 feet of water! I remember he bet me a PENNY that I couldn't clime up his chimney which was made of stone to the top and I said I could and did. He couldn't believe it and called me a monkey. I don't ever remember if I ever collected or not. Kim always enjoyed a Great game of Ping Pong which we had. We had a regular book we kept score in. Also had many a good times with him and Stan the Man. I can't add anymore than what everyone else has said. Kim my friend, may you RIP and keep all of us smilling. Love ya bro.
