Died: Dec. 6, 2008; in Union

UNION - Lee Allen Damler, 69, of Union, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at home.

He was born March 20, 1939, in Chicago.

He served in the U.S. Army and had worked at a system analyst for Uarco and Standard Register for many years.

He was the husband of Jean nee Schuette; father of Greg (Jo Ann) and Brett (Dawn) Damler; grandfather of Joshua, Cameron, Caleb and Lucas Damler and Rachel and Megan Cocker; and brother of Laura (James) Doyle.

The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows. He will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, until the 10:30 a.m. service at St. John United Church of Christ, 308 N. Evergreen St., Arlington Heights. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S. Hager Ave., Barrington, IL 60010.
