Maria Eiras Obituary

Maria E. Eiras of Meadow Street, Newburgh, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Elant at Newburgh. She was 81.

The daughter of Isidoro Gonzalez and Fermina Rodriguez, she was born February 7, 1926 in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Mrs. Eiras was a Star Expansion retiree.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Ruben Eiras; daughters, Maria E. Eiras of Jacksonville, Fla., and Ana Johnsen and her husband, Knut of Newburgh; son, Juan Eiras and his wife, Laura of Newburgh; cherished grandchildren: Martin Rodriguez, Knut Johnsen III, Monica Rodriguez-Castro and her husband, Carlos, John Eiras, and Vanessa Eiras; and cherished great-granddaughter, Elena Maria Castro.

There will be no public visitation. A Graveside Service and interment will take place at The Star of the Sea Cemetery, Marblehead, Mass., at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations in Maria's name may be made to: Alzheimer's Association or an organization of one's choice.

Arrangements were entrusted to Carl J. DiDonato, Jr., and Lawrence M. Cavazza of The DiDonato Funeral Service, Inc., 1290 Rt. 9W, Marlboro.
