Maryann Ryan Obituary

Maryann Ryan of Wawarsing, a longtime resident of the area, died January 30, 2007 at the Ellenville Regional Hospital. She was 73.

The daughter of Vernon L. and Andreline Legere Brothers, she was born June 11, 1933 in Schenectady, N.Y. She was the widow of Thomas J. Ryan, whom she married on May 1, 1953.

Maryann worked as an Operator for the Ellenville Regional Hospital. She had retired as an Operator for Tel-A-Message in Ellenville. She was a beloved mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was an avid lover of cats.

Survivors include one son, John E. Polick of Neversink; two daughters, Catherine Molloy and her husband, Michael of Kerhonkson and Evelyn J. Northrop and her husband, Howard of Ellenville; her sister, Darlene Frederick of Amsterdam; her brother, John Brothers of New York; stepbrother, Francis Polick of Ellenville; three stepsisters: Donna Conklin of Ulster Heights, Mary Lou Smith of Tennessee, and Virginia Buley Becerril of Hurleyville; four grandsons: Thomas and Joseph Molloy, Jacob and Eric Polick, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her stepbrother, Paul Polick.

Friends may call at that Loucks Funeral Home, Inc., 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, N.Y. on Friday, February 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 3 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson, N.Y.

Donations in her memory may be made to Ellenville Regional Hospital, Route 209, Ellenville, NY 12428.

Arrangements are by the Loucks Funeral Home, Inc.
