I just wanted to leave one more note before the book signs off. It's been a year now, and I'm still thinking of and praying for Mike, Kim and Lilly regularly so know that you are not alone. I'm sure it's been a hard year for you all, especially around the holidays. I still haven't found someone here to fill Mike's big shoes on the golf course and that certainly pales in comparison to the empty shoes in your lives. But he's still with us in his spirit, and our memories and I thank God for his impact in my life. May the passing of time bring you peace and comfort.

I just found out that Mike died. He is the second of Club 421 to go. I have not talked to him in many years, but he was always a great guy with a big heart. He also scared me with his driving, but that is another story! I also was a Mercy girl (1986), so I remember Kim. I'm sorry for your and your daughter's loss.

Dear Kim and Lilly: My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you. Although I knew Mike for a relatively short two years or so, he was just an absolute pleasure to work with at GE Crotonville. We enjoyed many great conversations--which always seems to end up about our children. There is not much one can say at a time like this, but please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and we pray that the love of your family and friends comfort and strengthen you in the days ahead.

Kim and Lilly,

I'm truly sorry for your loss.

I'll miss Mike and enjoyed the time I spent with him both at GE and on the golf course. Sometimes it was hard to get him out there on the course, but to his credit, it was always because he was putting his family's needs first.

Kim, Lilly, the Busheys and the Cobains,

Words cannot express my sorrow for your loss. I have called Kim my best friend for 25 years, and have loved the Cobain clan for just as long. I blessed Kim and Mike together from the beginning, She always made him happy and visa versa. Lilly is the ultimate, sweet result of that hapiness and love. Jim and Maureen, I knew that Mike was from great and loving stock the moment I met you. Kim confirmed that. My sympathy goes out to the entire family. I love you all deeply. Victoria Cipollari

Kim, Lilly, and the Bushey family,

It was my sincere pleasure to work with Mike. When I'd visit Connecticut, he'd stop in for friendly conversation and show the most recent picture of Lilly -- always asking "have you ever seen anything so adorable in your life?" It was so sweet to see Mike, a very capable professional in his own right, completely smitten with his little ballerina -- and as such a devoted father and husband. He really seemed to treasure each of life's moments.

Mike will truly be missed. I am so very sorry for your loss.
