Mignonne Murns Obituary
Mignonne Murns, a lifetime Mongaup Valley resident, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris. She was 88.
The daughter of the late Fred and Mabel VanKeuren Sanford, she was born on May 31, 1920 in Mongaup Valley, NY.
Mignonne was a retired Nurse's Aide at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was a member of the Mongaup Valley United Methodist Church and belonged to the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Van Keuren Cemetery Committee.
She will be missed by her five sons, William Murns and wife, Janet of Mongaup Valley, Howard S. Murns and wife, Edwina of Fosterdale, Eugene Murns and wife, Misty of Spanway, WA, Joel Murns and wife, Linda of Middletown and Raymond Murns and wife, Judy of Savannah, GA; two daughters, Jeanette Ross and husband, Bill of Mongaup Valley and Darlene Cagle and husband, Marvin of Oklahoma; 32 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sons, Richard Murns and Edgar Murns.
Visitation will take place today, Friday September 19, from 7-9 p.m. at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 3534 State Rt 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 20, at the Mongaup Valley United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with Revs. Roy Shaffer and Randy Yerks officiating.
Burial will be in Van Keuren Cemetery, Swan Lake, NY.
Funeral arrangements are by Ramsay's Funeral Homes, Inc., Kauneonga Lake, NY.

I got to know Midge from working as Election Inspector for the Town of Bethel. She was a true lady in every way. A Bethel native with a long history of decedents. May she rest peacefully in the palm of God's hands.
