Nathaniel Feagles Obituary

Narrowsburg, NY

Nathaniel "Skip" Feagles, III of Narrowsburg, NY, a lifelong resident of the area, died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was 67.

The son of the late Nathaniel and Marie H. Feagles, Jr., he was born November 28, 1940 in Honesdale, PA.

Skip was a retired Highway Superintendent for the Town of Tusten. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church, Narrowsburg, NY; lifelong member of Narrowsburg Fire Dept.; member of Sullivan Co. Highway Superintendents, IUOE 925 Union and the Beaver Brook Rod and Gun Club.

A family statement reads: "Skip was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Brother-in-Law and friend to many. He was a big part of the family. He will greatly be missed by his family and all that knew him."

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Patricia Smith Feagles; three daughters: Laura Sanville and her husband, William of Byram, NJ, Mary Boylan of Franklin Lakes, NJ, and Melissa Ursich and her husband, Paul of Wyckoff, NJ; one son, CDR Gerard Feagles USN and his wife, Karin of Pensacola, FL; his sister, Ann Alsop and her husband, Ed of Fort Meyers, FL; 16 grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday December 1, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 90 Main St., Narrowsburg, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 1, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church, Narrowsburg, NY. Father William Scully O.F.M. will officiate. Christian Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Narrowsburg, NY.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church, 151 Bridge St., Narrowsburg, NY 12764 or the Tusten Vol. Ambulance Service Inc., P.O. Box 34, Narrowsburg, NY 12764.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rasmussen Funeral Home, Narrowsburg, NY.
