Nelson Quiles Obituary
Nelson Quiles, age 54, of Gardiner, NY, died Monday, October 20, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
He married Aida L. Reyes on September 5, 2008 in Poughkeepsie, NY.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1974 to 1977.
He was employed by C.B. Driscoll's, Newburgh, NY as a chef.
Survivors include his wife, Aida L. (Reyes) Quiles; two daughters, Denise Quiles of Long Island, NY, and Sabrina Rodriguez of Modena, NY; one son, Nelson Quiles, Jr. of the state of Florida; two sisters, Gladys Penello of Acra, NY, and Monica Quiles of North Carolina; two brothers, Danny Quiles of Chicago, IL, and Praxedes Quiles of New York, and six grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Thursday, October 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 162 So. Putt Corners Rd., New Paltz, NY.
The Funeral Mass will be Friday, October 24, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Of Fatima, Route 32, Plattekill, NY. Burial will follow at Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

Aida and Family,
We are so sorry for you loss. When my mother passed away you were the one who told me that she was in a better place now. Well now Nelson and My mother are up in heaven look down at us. At night when you look into the sky and see that shining star you know that it is your nelson look down on you. We love you
