Patsy 90 Obituary

Milton, NY

Patsy Mannese, 90, of Milton, NY, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY with his wife and family by his side.

Born in Milton, NY, he was the son of the late James and Antoinette (Sponito) Mannese. Mr. Mannese was married to Columba "Bina" Calandrino for 60 years.

He served in the Army during World War II. He was a farmer on his family farm in Milton, NY, working many years with his father. Patsy also worked as an Electrician and owned and operated Milton Liquor Store and his wife, Bina, for 18 years.

Survivors include his wife, Columba "Bina" (Calandrino) Mannese; sisters, Tesse & Domonick DeAngelo of Newburgh and Susan & Bill Bishop of Milton, NY; brother, Joseph Mannese of Milton; many beloved nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, and great-great nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters: Mildred Cassalina, Florence (Dolly) Vertullo and Antoinette Cappello.

Friends may call Friday, December 5, from 5-8 p.m. at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 6, at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, Main St., Milton with Father Fred Kempfirl officiating.

Burial will talk place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Lattingtown Rd., Marlboro, NY.

The family request memorial donations be made to any of these three causes, which were near and dear to Patsy: The War Memorial Fund, In Care of American Legion, Post 124, PO Box 342, Marlboro, NY 12542 or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or St. James R.C. Church.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Carl J. DiDonato, Jr. and Lawrence M. Cavazza of the DiDonato Funeral Home.
