RICHARD PUCKETT Obituary
Liberty, NY
Richard A. Puckett, Jr., a longtime resident of the area, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 5, 2010 in Liberty. He was 25.
The son of Richard A. Puckett, Sr. & Patricia Lossmann Sweet, he was born September 20, 1984 in Long Island, NY.
Richard lived life to the fullest and was known for his big heart, as his many friends and family can attest to.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Sweet & her husband, George of Mongaup Valley; his father, Richard A. Puckett, Sr. & his wife, JoAnn of Clyde, NC; a brother, Dylan A. Puckett of Mongaup Valley; maternal grandparents, Audrey & Frank Lossmann; paternal grandmother, Barbara Yoe; his step grandmothers, Letha Sweet and Bessie Conklin; his companion, Courtney Kashan; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and many area friends.
Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, July 7, from 4-7 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. David Coon officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a local anti-drug organization such as DARE or Daytop.

skin noggin dude! i wish i could see you one more time, hang out with you one more time, get a phone call that says "rich is calling" and it is actually you, just one more time. i remember sooo many crazy times, and i know that even with the thousands of memories i have of things we did, and things you said, that in actuality i can't remember half of them because foe seven years of my life ninety percent of my time was spent with you, and the past year i have spent so much time wishing that things were how they used to be. i wish we had one more chance to make it that way. You are my best friend in the world. I know i told you that all the time, and it was so true. if we ditched the car you found us a way out, even if it was dragging georgie out twice in one night to pull my mom's van out of a ditch. or the number of times you had to carry me in your house because i couldn't walk on my own, or on my 21st birthday when you got me crowd surfing at the unwritten law/sum 41 concert. how sometimes you would wail me so hard when we would skin noggin dude and i would rub my head and say "damn rich, do you hafta do it that hard." It didn't matter if i called you at midnight, broken down half an hour away you came to my rescue. you will always be my best friend

I dont really no what to say. Richie was like a son to me . I loved him dearly, still do .. He will be in my memory forever .. he will be in my heart as well. MY sympathy goes out to Patty, Dylan , and big Richie. You are like family to me . I cant imagine what ur goin thru ..
