ROBERT VENEZIA Obituary
Harriman, NY
Robert "Bob" T. Venezia, lifetime area resident, passed away at home on Friday, July 30, 2010.
Son of Jean Crincoli Venezia and the late Samuel Venezia, he was born on October 15, 1941 in Tuxedo, NY.
Bob was a retired B.C.I. Investigator for the N.Y.S. Police, Troop F in Newburgh, NY. He was the former owner of the Gilsum Village Store in Gilsum, NH, Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of the American Legion Post #85 in Gilsum, NH for 19 years.
He is survived by his mother, Jean Venezia of Wyckoff, NJ; son, Robert "Robbie" Venezia of Keene, NH; and his mother, Lesley Butler of the state of Florida; sister, Barbara J. Manton and husband Terry of Glen Rock, NJ; cousin, Buzzy Venezia of Keene, NH; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 4, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 5, at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe. Interment will follow at Orange County Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen.
Memorial contributions may be made to N.Y.S. Troopers PBA Signal 30 Fund Inc., 120 State St., Albany, NY 12207 or the charity of one's choice.

I worked with Bob while I was a Trooper at SP Newburgh (post 1984). He was a respected member of the BCI and I will always remember him jogging around Stewart Airport in his spare time. RIP Bob...

I AM ONE OF BOB'S DISTANT COUSINS WHO REMEMBERS HIM GROWING UP IN TUXEDO. HE SERVED HIS COUNTRY IN THE USMC AND HIS COMMUNITY IN TNE NYSP. MY SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO AUNT JEAN AND BARBARA JEAN.

i am very sadden to hear of your loss. bob and i were in the same grade at tuxedo high.. we were always good friends. i used to see him once in a while, mostly at the race track. i send my condolences to his family, especually his son and sister barbara- jean.
