Rose Dutkiewicz Obituary
Rose Sadowski Dutkiewicz, 94, died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Rose was a longtime resident of New Hampton, Orange County and a resident of Guilderland for the past 25 years. She had resided at the Teresian House Nursing Home for the past four years.
Rose was a member and past President of the Guilderland Seniors Group and a communicant of Christ the King Church. Her family was a very important part of her life and she was proud of her Polish heritage.
Rose was the wife of the late Alexander Dutkiewicz; daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Paluch Sadowski; mother of Joan (Chuck) Thompson of Maple Valley, WA, Bill (Abbe) Dutkiewicz of Guilderland, Dr. Vincent (Diane) Dutkiewicz of Guilderland, Julia (Mick) Owen of Milford, PA and the late Stanley Dutkiewicz; sister of Jean Wiegand of New Hampton, NY and the late Helen, Louise, Flo and Betty. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, 9 Voorheesville Ave., Voorheesville, NY 12186 on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
Rose's funeral will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Teresian House Chapel. A visiting hour, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Teresian House will precede the service. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Florida, NY.
Those who wish may make donations in memory of Rose to the Teresian House Memorial Fund, Washington Ave., Ext., Albany, NY 12203.

Our sincere sympathy at the passing of your Mom. After my father's, Sig Lewandowski, death in 99 I continued to send cards from his Christmas list for my Mom. Rose wrote and explained our family connection. We then exchanged several letters. I always thought it would be nice to visit her on our next trip through Albany. Sadly we never made that trip. Our sincere condolences.
