Sam Nastro Obituary

Sam Nastro, a retired construction worker from the father and son company of Nastro Construction, and lifetime area resident, died on Thursday, July 05, 2007. He was 68.

Sam was an Army Veteran having served in Korea. He was born on June 9, 1939 in Brooklyn the son of the late Samuel and Rose Manzi Nastro.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sharon King Nastro, at home; his two children, Michael Nastro and his wife, April of Mongaup Valley and Diane Lasher and her husband, Gary of Monticello; his six grandchildren: Michael, Vincent, Mary Elizabeth and Christina Nastro and Kathleen and Joseph Lasher.

Visitation will be held today, Friday, July 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. in Ramsay's Funeral Homes, Inc., Route 55, Kauneonga Lake, N.Y.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 7 at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's R.C. Church, Broadway, Monticello. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Donations in memory of Sam may be made to the Smallwood-Mongaup Valley Fire Dept.

Funeral arrangements by Ramsay's Funeral Homes, Inc., Kauneonga Lake.
