Stephen King Obituary

Stephen Rodney King, a cook having retired from the Middletown Psychiatric Center, the Mid Hudson Correctional Facility and the Arden Hill Life Care Center, died Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus in Middletown, N.Y. He was 77.

The son of the late Frederick W. and Grettelle Miller King, he was born May 27, 1930 in Middletown, N.Y.

A veteran, Mr. King served in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara King, at home; his children: Doreen King of Monticello, Ricky King, Stephen King, Duane King, all of Middletown, Lisa Batista of Monticello, Margaret Stewart of Yankee Lake, Doris Melendez of North Carolina, and Byron King of Middletown; his stepchildren: Ranaye Corley of Walden, Tonyia Gibbs of Middletown, and Sonnymarie Davoren of Walden. He is further survived by his sister, Lorelei Thomas of Middletown; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc., 72 West Main St., Middletown, N.Y. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m.

Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc.

Grandpa
I am sad in a selfish way that you are gone. I know that you are in a better place now and no longer suffering. I thank God for letting us have you for the time that we did. Now that you have gone back home with Him I will miss you and until I see you again I love you!

Family,

So sorry to hear that uncle Rodney is no longer here. I have a lot of childhood memories about him. I wish I could have been there for the services. May he rest in peace.

to uncle rodney's older children, i remember coming to middletown to visit and your mom and dad taking us in and giving us a place to stay we loved your dad just as much as your mom . your dad made us feel like one of his own , he was there when we lost our parents now we are there for you. he will be missed but not forgotten he is forever in our hearts we pray for you all love from all of us..
