Theresa Stupar Obituary

Theresa Stupar of Newburgh, a retired seamstress, entered into rest on Friday, May 18, 2007 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. She was 83.

Daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Mezzacapo, she was born February 12, 1924 in New York City.

Theresa was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh, was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and Club 60. She also enjoyed working part time with Rural Opportunities in Newburgh.

She is survived by her brother, Louis Mezzacapo and several nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Angelina Mancuso.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, and from 2 to 4 on Wednesday, May 23, at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a,m, on Thursday, May 24, at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. Burial will follow in St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
