Timothy Mumford Obituary

Formerly of Cornwall-On-Hudson, N.Y.

Timothy Warren Mumford, a Research Assistant with NYS Psychiatric Institute at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, N.Y., died Tuesday, March 14, 2006 in Cornwall-On-Hudson, N.Y. He was 24 years old.

The son of Warren G. Mumford and Mary J. Rappa Mumford, he was born July 27, 1981 in Newburgh, N.Y.

Timothy was a 1999 graduate from Cornwall Central High School, and NYU, Class of 2003 with Honors. He was selected to play at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center for his graduation. He played in two bands: 76 Trombones and Your 33 Black Angels, both in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

He is survived by his parents, Warren G. and Mary J. Rappa Mumford of Cornwall-On-Hudson; one brother, Lucas Ward Mumford of Brooklyn, N.Y.; maternal grandparents, Peter and Adriana Rappa of New Windsor; grandmother, Agnes Mumford of New Windsor; uncles, Peter and wife, Myrtle Rappa, of Honolulu, Hawaii, Victor and wife, Mary Hope Rappa, of Greenwich, Conn., and Richard Haines of Tannersville, N.Y.; and several cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2006 from 5-9 p.m. at the Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18 at 10 a.m. at the Cornwall United Methodist Church, 196 Main St., Cornwall, N.Y. with Pastor Robert Milsom officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Cornwall, N.Y.
