Wanda Jankowski Obituary

Wanda S. Jankowski of Monroe, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y. She was 80.

The daughter of the late John Sawicki and Helen Sikorski Sawicki, she was born August 17, 1926 in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was the widow of Walter Jankowski.

A member of Sacred Heart Church in Monroe, N.Y., she was a retired Secretary for Sony, Inc. in Montvale, N.J.

Survivors include sons: Richard Jankowski of Monroe, Timothy Jankowski of Clearwater, Fla., Michael Jankowski and his wife, Denise of Pine Bush, and Eric Jankowski and his wife, Kimberly, of Battle Creek, Mich.; daughters, Kathleen Plaskon and Diane Jankowski, both of Monroe; brothers, Thomas Sawicki of Dearborn Heights, Mich., and Anthony Sawicki of Brooklyn, N.Y.; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Jean Kulikowski and Olga Talka.

Friends may call at the Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe, N.Y. on Friday, October 6, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 7 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Rd., Monroe, N.Y., with the Rev. George Pulparayil officiating. Burial will be in St. Anastasia Cemetery in Harriman, N.Y.

Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Heart Gifts Processing Center, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220 or American Cancer Society, Wisner Professional Building, 419 E. Main St., Middletown, NY 10940.

Arrangements are by the Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home.
