Winifred "Wink" Vicchiariello

Port Jervis, NY

Mrs. Winifred "Wink" Vicchiariello, a lifetime resident of Port Jervis, died Friday, March 19, 2010 at Bon Secours Community Hospital. She was 86.

She was born April 27, 1923 in Port Jervis, the daughter of the late Frederick and the late Ellen Vaughn Weigel. She was married for over 50 years to the late Louis Vicchiariello.

She was a member past member of Most Sacred Heart Church in Port Jervis. She was past President of the Excelsior Engine Co. #5 Ladies Auxiliary, Port Jervis. Winifred worked for Myrtle's Dress Shop in Port Jervis and was a Bookkeeper at Hensz Garage in Port Jervis. She was also the past president of the West End Elementary School PTA.

A family statement reads: "Mimi most enjoyed spending time and traveling with her family and her extended Fean family to the Outer Banks, Hawaii and Westcolang Lake. She was an avid snowmobiler and went to Old Forge frequently with her husband, Lou, and friends. She also water skied on Lake Westcolang, where the whole family enjoyed summer getaways since 1955. She treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and will be sorely missed by all of us."

Surviving are: son, Thomas Vicchiariello and his wife, Jill of Port Jervis; brother, Richard Weigel and his wife, Iola of Sharon Springs; granddaughter, Paige Fean and her husband, Greg of Matamoras, PA; grandson, Jason Vicchiariello and his wife, Shannon of Port Jervis; grandson, Matt Vicchiariello and Elizabeth of Port Jervis; five great-grandchildren: Lexi, Connor, Aidan, Nevaeh and Trevor; sister-in-law, Lois Vicchiariello of Huguenot; nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Frederick Weigel and sister, Olga Burgess.

Friends may call at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis on Monday, March 22, from 2-4 and 7–9 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 23, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery, Milford, PA.
