Ryan Clement passed away suddenly on January 20, 2024, after spending 6 amazing hours at his monthly Family Dinner Night. He was about one month shy of his 67th Birthday. Ryan was a standing member in the community of Frankfort, frequenting the American Legion and the Eagles. He was a talented carpenter for over 40 years, his work was beautifully finished and built to last. He excelled at staircases and cabinetry craftsmanship. He could take a pile of wood and turn it into a beautiful home but could not turn on a computer. He enjoyed playing golf. His love for the Game began at the Frankfort Golf Course where he became club champion for many years and received many trophies. His love for golf later spread throughout the courses of Benzie County. Ryan enjoyed small game hunting, deer hunting, and fishing on Crystal Lake both in the summer and winter. Other passions included growing a vegetable garden with his very limited green thumb, with the exception of Zucchini. After work he looked forward to making his lawn look plush and green which required a cocktail in the cupholder of his riding lawnmower. He participated in multiple Christmas Light contests through 99.3 WBNZ, winning so many times he was asked to no longer participate to allow others the chance to win. He loved teasing and joking with his grandkids and also attending sporting events to cheer them on. His spare time was spent watching old tv westerns. Ryan left an undeniable mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. Though his passing will leave a void in our hearts and our community, his light will shine through the memories and lives he touched. Ryan leaves behind his beloved wife of 45 years, Debbie, his 2 children Cassie (Brady) Lietaert and Nolan Clement, grandchildren Emilee and Eli Lietaert, mother Carolyn Clement, brother Ross, sister Diane along with nephews Zach, Nick, Wyatt and Aunt Pricilla. Ryan was preceded in death by his father, Jack Clement. A Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church of Frankfort on Saturday February 17th at 11:00 am, with a gathering one hour prior and a luncheon afterwards. A Celebration of Life will also be held late spring early or early summer. Contributions may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church Youth Group or American Lung Association.
