LARRY MORGAN Obituary

Age 73, passed away February 13, 2009 in Redding, CA. Born in Flint, Michigan to Howard and Pearl Morgan.

Raised in San Antonio, TX., joined the Navy out of high school, after the Navy he lived in Los Molinos and Red Bluff.

He worked for the Garden Grove School District for 25 yrs., won awards from the district and students for being so involved with the students, built entire sets for school plays, loved by the students and staff.

As a young man, Larry was extremely active in church functions, summer camps and youth groups. Larry enjoyed fishing, fishing and fishing as well as camping, attending Christian concerts with wife when possible.

Favorite hang-out with friends was Feed Bag Restaurant in Red Bluff, CA, solving problems of the world over coffee and food.

Larry leaves behind his wife Nell May Morgan, daughter Marion "Chickie" Rufner, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, brother Richard Collins of Barryton, MI., sister Cynthia "Cindy" K. Morgan Bartoo of Los Molinos, CA.

Preceded in death by father Howard S. Morgan and mother Pearl Wixon Morgan Brown, brother Curtis Wixon.

Services will be on Monday, March 16th, 2pm at The Northern California Veterans Cemetery, following the services, family and friends welcome to join family at Cone Methodist Church in the social room.

Our deepest thanks and gratitude for the care given to Larry at Mercy Hospital in Redding, CA and Wal-Mart friends and co-workers, his Feed Bag friends, First Baptist Church in Red Bluff, The Cone Methodist Church in Los Molinos, and all family and friends.

Donations may be made to the Cure for Heart Disease.
