WALLACE WILSON Obituary
Born on March 25, 1927 in Dade City, FL to Clifford and Maggie Wilson.
Wallace joined the Merchant Marines in 1945. Service in the US Army from 1946 - 48, stationed in Yakosuka, Japan, he then joined and served in the US Air Force, Castle Air Force Base in Merced, CA till his discharge in 1952.
A general contractor , Wallace (better known as (Willy) helped build the Northstate since the late 50's. Wallace and his son Wally owned Wilson Construction in Cottonwood, CA.
A lifetime member of Anderson VFW.
Married on September 3, 1949, Wallace is survived by his wife of 59 years Betty Joe Mefford Wilson of Cottonwood, CA., his surviving daughters Lora Ambrose of Red Bluff, Tami Schaller of Redding, Karen Dougan, Darla Zeimet and son Wallace (Squeaky) Wilson all of Cottonwood, sons-in-laws Louie R. Ambrose and Mark Schaller, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Igo-Ono Veteran's Cemetery, March 3rd, 2009 at 2pm, Lawncrest Funeral will be handling arrangements.

Dear Wilson Family, I didn't have the opportunity to meet Willy; but, I wanted to express my condolences to the family. Jimmy has told us many stories of hunting, building etc with Willy that set the stage for the way Jimmy interacts with Lauren and Jesse. He obviously had a good role model and that is quite a legacy to leave behind. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this difficult time.
