Beverly Gladys Rouse of Redding passed from this earth to heaven May 22, 2012. Beverly was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Paul and Florene Johnston on September 23, 1927. She was one of six siblings. Beverly moved to southern California in 1945 where she married William M. Rouse in 1947. Together with step-daughter LaNelle they were blessed with Catherine, Melanie, and Roger. She loved her family above all else, always a proud and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Beverly's husband and dance partner pre-deceased her 10 years ago as well as her adored son 6 years ago.
She is survived by her two younger sisters, Nancy Fuller and Edna (Kenny) Brown, both of Redding; step-daughter C. LaNelle Weerts of Burbank, daughters Cathy (Mack) Henley of Chico, Melanie Andrews of Redondo Beach, daughter- in-law Kay Rouse of Bend, Oregon, seven amazingly talented grandchildren and 2 beautiful great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 South Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275, Wednesday, May 30, 2012, 3:00 P.M. Beverly, Mom, Grandma, Aunt Bea will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deschutes County Search and Rescue Foundation, www.deschutessearchandrescue.com or P.O. Box 5722, Bend OR 97708 in memory of Beverly Rouse.
