Charles Conway Obituary
Bella Vista, CA
Charles Cleveland Conway Sr., age 95, surrounded by his family, went to be with the Lord on April 9th, 2018.
Charles was born to John Tracy Conway and Anna Christina Conway (Edler) in Dunsmuir, California on February 2, 1923. Charles grew up in Dunsmuir with his brother and five sisters and lived his entire life in the Shasta area in Northern California.
Charles is a veteran of World War II where he served in the Army Air Corps as an airplane mechanic. After the war, Charles joined his brother Irvin in carpentry and worked on many public projects in the Shasta County area including Shasta Dam and WhiskeyTown Dam.
Charles retired to Bella Vista, California and where he lived quietly with his wife Dorothy.
Charles is survived by his sons, Charles Conway Jr. and John Conway II, his sisters, Eleanor Grubbs and Geraldine Hilton and by many nieces and nephews.
Charles is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy, who passed in 2010.
Services will be held at Allen and Dahl in Redding, on 4/28 at 11am.

Oh Uncle kid. How I will miss you. I believe I am very lucky to be 31 and still have all my grands and great grands. And I don't like knowing that it will feel like we can't start eating or getting everyone together bc we are still waiting on loved ones. I can't be selfish. Make sure you squeeze my cousins. And heaven I'm sure will have some amazing hot rods.... To my family, I love you guys. Miss you all. Squeeze and suga. Shantie
