My sincerest condolences to the Chris Peltier family. I met Chris while attending the California Maritime Academy in 1963.
I remember his parents large family home in Redding. Chris & I made a trip down to the MV Yellowfin docked at a pier in Alameda estuary in S.F. Bay. Chris started and tested the main engines & generators. That little ship still sails the waters of Puget Sound, WA. as the MV Pacific Yellowfin. The current owners keep her in beautiful condition.
Chris & his large family have been in my memory for years. Fair seas and followings winds Chris.

My sincerest condolences to the Peltier Family on Chris's passing.
I met Chris, a couple of decades ago, at the old Peltier homestead in Igo and ran into him dozens of times at that same location. (I would normally be taking advantage of the shade of an oak tree for report-writing purposes).
Chris was a unique personality and had a great sense of humor. I thoroughly enjoyed our discussions on wildlife, agriculture and the history of the Peltier Ranch. The last time I ran into him he was rummaging through a clearance table of tools and hardware at Orchard Supply.
I will remember our contacts with a particular fondness.
My warmest thoughts to the Peltier's in the future.

To the Peltier Family:
My sincere condolences to all of you on Chris's passing.
I met Chris , a couple of decades ago, at the Igo Cemetery and ran into him at that same location dozens of times thereafter. (I would normally be taking advantage of the shade of an oak tree, for report-writing purposes, when Chris would show-up).
Chris was a unique personality, and had a great sense of humor. I thoroughly enjoyed our discussions on plants, wildlife, local history and the Peltier Ranch. After my retirement, I saw him sporadically, the last time at Orchard Supply Hardware, while rummaging through a clearance table of tools and hardware.
Chris will be missed and I will recall our meetings with particular fondness.
My warmest thoughts to all of you in the future.
