Dean William Noble
1940 - 2015
Dean was born in Ashland, Oregon on October 8, 1940 to Jim and Olive Noble.
He grew up in Smith River, Oregon.
Dean joined the Navy in 1959 serving for four years serving on the USS John Hancock DD-981. He moved to Redding in 1964. Dean was a member of Operating Engineers, Local 3 for 48 years, working as a heavy equipment operator. You'd be hard pressed to find a road in Northern California that didn't have Dean's footprint on it.
He enjoyed fishing, especially his long-range tuna fishing excursions, hunting in his younger years, cutting his firewood, playing the slots, and gardening.
Dean died on Friday, April 3, 2015 of cardiac arrest at SRMC, he was 74.
He leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Dale. Son, Grant and granddaughters, Madison and Haley. Daughter, April Little (Dan) and grandson Max. Stepsons, Gerry and Jess Thompson.
Military honors interment will be held at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery at 11800 Gas Point Road, Igo, CA on Thursday, April 9th at 12:30 P.M.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Redding VFW Hall at 1251 Oregon St. in Redding, following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Mercy Hospice.

I will always remember this man and how much he loved to tease me when I came over to help his lovely wife! I got a big kick outta him and his John Wayne looks! I will miss him dearly!

Grant and April, so sorry to hear about your dad's pasting. I remember him when he would bring Grant with him over to the our house. We love playing with little Grant( I know that isn't the case now LOL. April was just a baby and we loved holding her. I do know he seemed to always be cutting wood.
