Deryl Pevehouse Obituary
1952 - 2013
Deryl was born to Marianne Wanda and Vernon Cleo Pevehouse in Patterson, CA on August 20, 1952 and went peacefully to rest on April 4, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.
Deryl's family moved to Redding in the mid 1950's. He graduated from Enterprise High School in 1970.
Deryl was a very hard working family man all throughout his life. He worked at Amen Dairy, SunSet Plastics, Smog Master's, and Raba Bus. Currently he was employed by Expeditor's Fire Support Service for which he drove a fire crew bus to fires and disasters in many states. He loved what he did and always looked forward to fire season. He enjoyed driving to new states and meeting new people and fire crews. He especially enjoyed the Samoan fire crews, summers spent with them were always fun and he enjoyed introducing them to the states.
Deryl loved to fish and spend time with his family. He was a very devoted, caring, passionate, and selfless father, Papa, brother, and friend.
Deryl is survived by his daughter, Emily and husband Joseph Labbe; son, Colby Pevehouse; step-son, Ryan Stevens; grand-daughters, Caidence and Payton Pevehouse (Papa's little angels); brothers, Gary Pevehouse of Redding and Weylin Pevehouse and wife Twila of Sacramento.
He touched the hearts of so many people and will be forever remembered and always missed.
A Memorial service will be held at Lawncrest Chapel at 1522 E Cypress Ave. in Redding on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 10am.
A Celebration of Life will follow for close family and friends at 14627 Spring Branch Rd. Redding, Ca.

Deryl was a great father who always had time for his children and their friends. I enjoyed visiting with him at our sons events.

Deryl was a great guy to work with. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always in touch with his work. I am sorry things worked out the way they did. He was a good man.
