Gary Sturm Obituary
Shasta Lake, CA
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of Gary Sturm, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, on August 31, 2015.
He is survived by his wife, of 44 years, Janne; his son, Brandon; sister Saundra Moore; brother, Larry Sturm.
Gary was born in 1948 in Scotia, CA. The family moved to Central Valley in 1955. He graduated from Central Valley High School in 1966. He was baptized as one Jehovah's Witnesses in 1963 and served his God, Jehovah faithfully for 52 years, until his death.
He was always active with many camping, diving, hunting, golfing, 4X4, and three wheeler trips with family and close friends. Which gave him plenty of time to master his practical joking and barbequing skills. He was an Operating Engineer for almost 25 years and then he went into being an Industrial Electrician. His conviction to remain faithful to his beliefs are what defined and helped him manage through both the good times and bad. He was known for being very generous, a wood worker, and a metal fabricator. After retirement, he voluntarily gave much of his time and experience to anyone in need.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 5 at 1:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4125 Main St., Shasta Lake, CA.

So sad this precious man lost his fight. I will always think of him as funny, happy, kind. He had cool cars and his ski boat that was sparkly "jubilee". Gary and I and Larry and Becky cruised Chico and Gary beat all the "turkey's" on those warm summer nights. That's what Larry called them. It was a simple sweet happy time. His eyes will open, he will take a deep breath, and will be welcomed back by those who love him. Jehovah is great and much to be praised. Love to the Sturms.

Gary will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His friends and family will soon have him back, when our God Jehovah brings those asleep in death back to life. Stay strong!

Looking forward to seeing Gay again in the resurrection. I have many fond memories of Gay when I was growing up in Central Valley (now Shasta Lake). He was at our house a lot, visiting with my older brothers, and was always friendly to us little kids, not treating us like the pests I'm sure we were.
I'll miss him, for sure!

Gary was such a loving man. He was always there when we needed help. He always smiled and made others smile.we had lost of fun with him and his family.He will be truly missed.
