Gertrude Blanche Hudson

November 11, 1921 - April 19, 2010







Blanche was born in Terrel, Texas, grew up in Fort Worth, came to San Diego during World War II to work in ROHR Aircraft.
In 1943 she married Jim Lee Hudson, Gunners Mate on the U.S.S. Baltimore.
1944-1947 She lived in Redding.
1947-1950 She lived in San Jose while Jim attended the San Jose State Police School.
1951-1955 She lived on Alcatraz where Jim was a Correctional Officer.
1955-1985 She lived in Long Beach while Jim was a Classification and Parole Officer in the Federal Prison on Terminal Island.
1985 She and Jim returned to Redding.

On April 19, 2010 Blanch passed away of natural causes.

She was preceded in death by their son Dan Hudson and daughter Sylvia Blessing.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years and grandson Patrick Michael Blessing.

She was loved and will be missed.
