Jedediah Eminger Obituary
Redding - Jedediah Riley Eminger, 25, was born in Redding, CA on 07/25/1995 in the Baby Place at Shasta Regional Medical Center. Jedediah tragically left us after a fatal auto accident on June 17th on Hwy 299E near Ingot, CA.
His best girl, constant companion, and service dog Cali was by his side.
Jed is survived by his parents Mark & Jeannie Eminger, sister and brother-in law, Ariel & Nicholas Lyons, grandparents John & Jackie Eminger, and Gary Portello, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jed was preceded in death by his big brother Jacob Riley Eminger, his grandparents Walter Riley & Shirley Brophy and Georgianna Portello.
Jed was formerly employed by J&H Diesel Performance as a diesel technician and service writer, but to his friends he was an avid fisherman, photographer, BMX rider, snowboarder, and took pride in his 2006 2500 Dodge Cummins Mega Cab. Jed was always looking for a fishing buddy and spent countless hours at Shasta, Whiskeytown, Trinity lakes and various ponds in the area fishing for bass and catfish. Jed was a catch and release fisherman, unless it was fish taco night. He also loved and cared for our lakes picking up trash that had been left behind and leaving the banks cleaner than he found them. Jed also lived in South Lake Tahoe for two years, where he met new friends, fished, kayaked, snowboarded, and captured amazing photos. The beauty of Lake Tahoe held a special place in Jed's heart.
Jed had many passions, and excelled in everything he did. However, his true love and soul mate was his baby girl Cali and his love of the night sky and Milky Way. Jed was the best and most loyal friend to many, and he loved his friends with a passion. His family finds comfort in knowing that he has found peace and serenity outside of our earthly challenges and we look forward to seeing him when our time comes. In the meantime, please take a moment to look up and think of Jed when you see the stars, the moon, or the beauty of nature that we take for granted every day which he magnificently captured through the lens of his camera and loving eyes.
Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Dahl in Redding. A memorial service will be held on July 31st at the Redding Elks Lodge from 5-10 p.m.

My condolences
I didn't know Jed for long, and it saddens me to hear of his passing. He was a super nice guy, and Cali was a sweet dog. They were a great pair, and will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of such a good boy. I never had the pleasure of meeting this young man but it always touches my heart to see a fine young soul take before his journey realy began. again, so sorry for such a loss. the universe somehow doesnt seem as bright, knowing we've lost such a bright light. Devastated by this news, thank you for the beautiful obituary, encapsulates my memories of Jeb perfectly, feel blessed I was lucky enough to be able to call Jeb a truly good friend, his memory will be kept alive and well every time I hit a big jump skiing and mountain biking, as I remember how he always made the impossible look easy and did it better than I ever could, rock on brother, can't wait to catch you on the flip side, where we'll rock it once again

Jed you will forever hold a huge place in my heart. I will cherish the memories you and Princess Cali left me with. Life just isn´t the same without you. I miss our nightly chats and the images we shared. Our love for the beauty in this world and for our girl Shania was HEAVY as you would say. Every night I look at the sky and I know in my heart you are sharing the beauty with me.
