Justin Wigham Obituary
Justin attended Foothill High School where he excelled as a student and athlete. He was involved in student government and was the athletic commissioner. Although he played many sports, football was his passion.
After graduating Foothill High School in 2000, he attended San Diego State University for two years majoring in business. He then returned to the north state to finish at Chico State University graduating with a bachelor's degree in environmental economics.
One of Justin's goals was to become a high school teacher and coach football. He completed the teaching program at Simpson University and was looking forward to an exciting future.
Justin is survived by his parents Matt and Carrie Wigham, Catherine Fites; siblings Maddie, Jesse, Nick, and Brittany; grandparents Tom and Jane Cerney, David and Camille Verissimo, Steve and Lyla Williams, Lori Cornwell, Sue Dee McClelland, Larry and Pat Fites, girlfriend Tara Olds, and many aunties, uncles, cousins and friends who shared his life.
Please join us for a celebration of Justin's life on Saturday, July 19 at 11:00am at Anderson Church of Christ.
Justin, your family and friends will miss your awesome grin, your infectious personality, that wacky sense of humor, your great hugs, a fishin' buddy, and your devotion to all of us. May the Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you, the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26

To the Family of Justin,
I didn't know your son, brother, uncle, or cousin. I only know of him through my son who simply stated that Justin was a wonderful young man. He went on to tell me about his future and how bright it was. Please know that there are many of us that didn't know him that share in your loss. I have never lost a child, but I have lost a brother. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to you. Please know that the memories that Justin left behind are ones to be extremely proud of.

I had the pleasure of working with Justin for a short time in Sacramento at TEKsystems. As others have mentioned, Justin was very respectful and had one of those memorable smiles. He worked hard and pushed me to be better. Cheers to you, J-Dub, and your beat up, old Beamer with the San Diego State sticker placed 'strategically' backwards in your rear window. I had the pleasure of knowing Justin in high school, working together in ASB. He was an amazing young man, and so much fun to be around. I will never forget the trip to Shasta to go snowboarding, then getting snowed in because we were so caught up having fun that we didn't realize just how much snow was coming down. I also had the honor of wearing his jersey for Powder Puff. How lucky was I! Again, Justin was an amazing man and I am so sorry for his family's loss. I am so sorry to have found out so late about Justin, i cannot imagine the pain in all of your hearts. He was such a wonderful young boy.Christina adored him as well as myself.

Matt and Carrie: Your Justin was a friend to my son Tyler Lanham and daughter in law Kristy Johnson. He was in my home a few times during their senior year. My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead.
Garrett & Justin were great friends. That whole group of FHS Class 2000 all cared & loved each other so dearly. Justin was/is a sweet, positive, innocent, (not to mention gorgeous), well-mannered guy who, like Garrett, would have contributed greatly to this world......and you know, they both already have. I've come to think the best you can hope for is that your child lives a quality life, and "gets it" - that life is about truely loving, learning to be grateful, being there when family & friends need you, & being true to yourself & your principles.
We will all miss Justin. It is a very hard thing losing a child; your first born. My heart aches for you all.
