Lavonne left this earth December 25th to join her husband John of 67 years and her only son Charles.
Lavonne had lived many places over her life but after a serious fall she moved to Brookdale in Red Bluff. Lavonne and John were very generous to many charities over the years. They also enjoyed the Marine Corp's functions, and the Elk Lodges activities LaVonne loved gardening and her home was her oasis. She loved to entertain, but as they got older she no longer like to cook. A lot of the time we would hear "if it's Lavonne turn to cook we go out! And if it was John turn to cook, they would also go out!" There favorite restaurant was Corbetts, where Mel, Chris, and all the girls were like family. After John had passed Lavonne had great neighbors to watch out for her. Thank you Rick and Joan, Art and Fern, Eric and Tracy for always watching out for her.
Lavonne also had a great friend that allowed her to live in her home independently after John passed. Thank you Rita. Lavonne enjoyed spending time with you.
LaVonne is survived by sisters Geraldine Pilkington of Red Bluff and Sharon McFarland of Lynnwood WA. Daughter in law Samon Olsen, granddaughter Neolanie and husband Lee and great granddaughter Meleanie. Lavonne is also survived by numerous nieces and Nephews. LaVonne will be laid to rest with John at Igo Veterans Cemetery. A service will be announced on a later date.
