Linda Wing Obituary

Linda Darlene Wing

A beautiful and lovely lady went home to be with Jesus early Saturday morning, May 2nd, 2009. Linda, a "loyal wife", a "faithful mother", a "hands-on" Mamaw: an "exquisite" woman, who touched countless lives in her special and unique ways.

Linda's life was filled by Dale, a husband who loves and cherishes her with every fiber of his being, a man who Linda loves with every fiber of her own. Their journey together overflowed with life, and while this leg of the journey comes to an end, the love carries on..

Three children, Annette, Alan and Deanna, cannot imagine a world without her gentle touch, her warm smile and her gorgeous eyes.
Her grandbabies: Brandon, Ashleigh, Emily, Aidan, Kaitlyn, Justin, Lailah, and Alyssa, all possess remarkable characteristics of their "Mamaw" because Linda spent so much of her time pouring herself into them.
There are three others, Steve, Shannon, and Steven, whom she has embraced as her own through the covenant of marriage to her children. She loves you.

Linda highly valued the privilege of spending 30 years touching the families whose child learned to read in the libraries of Happy Valley Primary and Elementary Schools. Think not for one moment that she did not value and love each and every one of you.

To her Friends, Comrades of Faith, the "Dinosaurs", and her Working Family, what would she want of you? To treasure your families, live your life to the fullest, and always remember...TO LOVE.

We offer a special time to show your respect to Linda, Thursday evening, May 7th from 4pm-7pm at McDonald's Chapel. We will ALL gather together Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock for a time of celebrating Linda's life. This celebration will take place at Linda's church located at 19386 Loop Road, Anderson, CA. Gifts of love may be sent to the Linda Wing Memorial, 17816 Olinda Road, Anderson, CA 96007.

Since January 7, 1971, Linda loved Jesus and served Him faithfully. Her love for all of us came from Him. Her deepest desire is for us to know Jesus as she did.

We may have lost her physical presence -- Her Love and Her Legacy Live On...She's Home!

Linda was one of the first people to welcome me at Happy Valley. I could always depend on her support, sense of humor and compassion whenever I needed it. She could always make me laugh. Her love for her family, friends and the kids she served at Happy Valley schools was evident every time you talked to her. I will miss her.

Mrs. Wing was an amazing lady, and loved by all. I remember back in junior high I would make sure that I had time in the morning so I could stop by and say hello before school. I remember being a frightened child on September 11, watching all of the adults with worried looks on their faces, and she did she best to reassure us that everything would be alright. We love you and miss you Mrs. Wing you're an amazing lady!

I can only hope to be half the woman that Linda was. I know that all the lives who she left her footprint on will never be the same. She may have gone on to another journey of her life, but she is still evermore present in her children, and through the memories from her soulmate Dale. This is not goodbye it is only I will see you soon.
