Matthew Heiland Obituary

OKLAHOMA CITY - Matthew Heiland, 20, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2007 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Oklahoma City.

Matt was born December 20, 1986 in Hamilton, MT. He attended school in Darby, MT until age 13 when he and his mother (Teresa Heiland, Hamilton MT) moved to Burney, California. He attended school at Fall River where he excelled in football and wrestling.

In June of 2005, Matt enlisted in the Air Force to pursue his dream of flying jets and was stationed at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma.

Matt will remain in our hearts forever as he was a strong willed, happy and extraordinary young man. Matt brought smiles to all who knew him and loved him. Matt loved Montana, horses, dogs, pickups and motorcycles. He treasured kids, his friends and his family. He touched the lives of many.

A Formal Military Service will be held at 10:00 AM on May 8, 2007 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 900 Butler Speath, Gillette WY 82716. Visitation will take place from 4-7PM on May 7, 2007 at Stevenson Willson Funeral Home 210 West 5th St., Gillette, WY 82716.
