I loved his boyish charm, pranks and sense of humor! Many times I was screaming when he would sneak up on me and scare me, but I ended up laughing. I miss that! Sometimes I still feel like his truck will be in my driveway when I come home, like he used to do to surprise me. Fond memories! Brenda

I can’t believe it’s been a year all ready. I still think of him as being on his property and doing work and doing things. It seems strange that he’s gone. However though he’s home praising God and not worring about covid or the hot weather. I know my mom misses him and I do alittle. I keep my mind busy with my family but I do think of him sometimes. He will always be truly missed.

I miss Roger so much every day! Every week I take flowers from my garden, that he planted, to his grave. I cry and talk to him about our memories and future we had planned. I wear the engagement ring and jewelry he gave me. It made him so happy to see me wear them! I remember how proud he was to take me to his family reunions and work parties. Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope.

It has been a year and yet it seems like yesterday that you went home. I continue to miss you terribly and will until the day we meet again in Heaven. You are missed!!!

Rodger was a good man, I worked along side him for 15 years, started at the age of 14, I learned alot from him, he was a very talented mechanic, and he had probably forgotten more knowledge than I'll aquire. Rodger was a very unique individual who definitely cherished his alone time, where he was always tinkering and fixing things, sometimes fixing things that didn't need fixing but Rodger would fix it anyway. He will be missed .

I will miss Roger. He was helpful to my mom and I. He liked taking my mom and I out to eat when he would visit Camarillo and he would take my mom out on outings like the lake or just going to watch a movie. He helped me moved twice and was their for my mom and I when my dad passed away. He was comforting and very helpful when it came to my dads funeral. I feel quite sad inside that he isn't around but I know that he's with Jesus serving him and maybe even helping out there too. He was a hard worker and loved working on projects. I know God has a purpose for all of us and even though I don't understand what it is, I guess Jesus felt it was his time even though it's sad for us to see his ashes buried as a final farewell but yet it's not a farewell it's just see you in the future with the Heavenly Father. I will miss you Clayton as I used to call you. You had a big heart.

When I first met Roger, he was sitting by himself at Bethany Chapel in Oxnard. Having just returned from living up north, I didn't know who he was. I asked him to carry out some materials for me and realized he was way too quiet. My mission was to get him to socialize...it worked. Here it is over 20 years later and we have kept in contact all these years. I moved to Arizona and he moved to Northern CA. In spite of the distance, we have kept in contact. Now he is waiting for me in Heaven.
