Suzan Inez Chipley

Sue Chipley a 63 year resident of Shasta County passed away on August 13, 2012. Sue was 81 years old. Born on July 1, 1931 in Hunter, Arkansas. Sue is survived by her three children, Aaron, Karon (Debbie), Chuck, and foster children Greg, Willie, Takane and Joanne, Her brother Bruce Coleman, and sister Shelia Gill. In addition Sue is survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Sue was an unselfish and loyal wife to Charles Lewis Chipley for 63 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She passionately and unselfishly served others using her gift of cooking to provide joy in others lives.

Her celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Redding Elks Club at 250 Elk Drive. There will be a reception immediately following the Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers please direct donation to Northpointe Baptist Church, PO Box 346, Shasta Lake, CA. 96019.

Chuck & Garnie, Aaron, Debbie and families. I'm so sorry for your loss. I saw your Mom at Raleys a couple of months ago and we had a good chat. I so enjoyed seeing her and she said to come over and visit her and I'm so sorry I didn't. She is a woman that will be remembered forever for all she did for all of us in C.V. You had wonderful parents that made a difference in many lives. Take care.

We are so saddened to hear of Sue's passing, she was such a comfort to us when we lost Dad in June. She's always been more like an aunt or a second mom than a friend & all throughout our life has been "family" (now with Jason & "Niecey",she is family) Sue will be missed by many, & remembered by all as a very giving person. We have lost a wonderful part of our family. Aunt Sue was part of my entire life, she was there when I was born, graduated from high school, got married, had my two sons...... I loved her so much. As we gather to celebrate her life we must remember that she LOVED all of us with abandon, and she was always there for anyone who needed a ear to listen.....
