Thomas "Gene" Fore, 83, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2014 at his home in Anderson, CA with family by his side.

Gene was born November 28, 1930 in McComb, MS to John and Chlora Fore, the second of 8 children. His hard work ethic was instilled in him at a young age as he tended to the family farm and looked after his younger siblings.

Gene proudly served his country from 1951-1953 as an Army Medic during the Korean War. He later spent 30 years in the carpentry business: as a Union Carpenter and then in business for himself building houses. Gene and his only son Perry Fore moved to Anderson, CA where he purchased Roosters Landing in 1982. He never really retired as he was always working on something, helping a friend, or helping his son with many projects.

Gene was an honest, hardworking man who genuinely enjoyed life and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a full life of motorcycle riding, gardening, fishing, hosting fish fries, riding quads, and drinking beer with his friends. Gene was very proud of his son, daughter-in-law, and his three granddaughters which could easily be seen by the sparkle in his eye and the huge smile on his face.

Gene will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his son Perry & wife Kristie Fore and his three granddaughters: Jenna, Abby, and Madison. Additionally his sisters: Heddie Taylor, Becky Coble, and brother: Joe Fore as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for September 27th at the VFW Hall, 3210 W. Center Street in Anderson from 4-8pm. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
