My sweet friend, time has past since we lost you but you are never far from my mind. Playing a BeeGee song or seeing a sunflower always, always brings you to my mind and my heart. I love you and miss you dearly Virginia.

Mrs. Sloan was a fantastic teacher and connected with her students in a way most teachers never get the chance. She leaves a lasting impression on you that I was lucky to experience through my Journalism classes with her. Thanks for being that teacher that inspired students and for making learning fun. You will be missed!

Kirby and Kelly, my condolences for your loss. Your mom was so much fun! She influenced my life in many positive ways. I had the good fortune to have lunch with her about four years ago and she was as vibrant and joyful as I had remembered. She was an inspiration to many and I am grateful that I knew her as a teacher and as a friend.

I really enjoyed taking year book from Mrs. Sloan. It was one of my favorite classes, and I still think of that class to this day. She influenced and made a difference to so many people. You will be missed.

I was on the 'Hornet's Nest' high school paper for the three years at Enterprise. I think Ms. Ralston was the best teacher I've ever had. She was always so patient, kind and pretty too! She will be sorely missed by many one will never know. She took the time to listen and she was so understanding of my own plight. I believe she was okay w/ us calling her "Virginia" at a time when that was unacceptable. I was class of '76. What's interesting is that she was born in Kansas City, Missouri [as was I] and was a faithful Christian [as I try.] I know that this isn't the last time I'll see Virginia!

I have just learned of Virginias passing. She will be truly missed by many. She came into my scrap store with a smile, a hug and a cheery hello every week. When I closed the store she continued to come to my card classes, always with a laugh and a story to be told... Ahhh ... What a wonderful, kind spirit who I was so graced by. Thank you for being a friend and I will always remember your vibrant smile and twinkle in your eyes!

I knew Virginia in the 1976-1979 EHS era as "The Ms." -later, so happy to be Senora Slone. I learned the best journalism skills from Virgina back in the day of counting pica typewriter letters and drawing in blue pencil. She raised a wonderful family of kind souls who were all so welcoming. Blessings to Kirby and Kelly and their families. Peace to her soul.

Señora Slone was one of my favorite teachers at Enterprise. Always kept it fresh and lighthearted in class and she knew how to connect with high school kids. I picked 'El Queso Grande' as my Spanish name and it cracked her up pretty hard. She was a rad lady.
Adios Señora Slone.

Senora Slone was my favorite high school teacher and definitely one of the most memorable. She had a great sense of humor and tolerated (to a point) the shenanigans my friends and I threw at her, but she often cleverly turned the tables on us or handled us in ways other teachers didn't. She had a sharp wit and knew what made her students tick, and she encouraged some unconventional approaches to getting her students involved and to care. She was an interesting and kind lady and I wish I could have known her post-high school. I'm very sorry to hear of her passing; condolences to her family.

You came into my life when I was a new teacher at EHS, immediately took pity on a (dare I say) hippie-ish work in progress, and promptly tucked her under your wing. You showed me the ropes, how to avoid trouble, and where the extra supplies were hidden. You were right by my side as I fought cancer- bringing me a yummy lunch every day during my chemo. Not only did I beat the odds but I'm the only person probably in history to gain weight fighting cancer.
I remember when we decided to sign up for 6 months at Curves to work out every Saturday together- and after trying it twice - you decided we should go out to breakfast instead- and we did for the rest of our Curves contract. When all the weird embarrassing things which regularly plague my life would occur- you laughed at me heartily and taught me not to take it seriously. I should have abs of steel from all of times we laughed so hard together.
I count myself among the luckiest people on earth because you somehow chose me to be your dear friend. I love you more than words can say- and already miss you even more than that. Til we meet again Amiga- your friend forever- My condolences to her beautiful family.

I am sorry to hear of Virginia's passing. My yearbook class friends and I knew her as Ms Ralston, until she married my amazing Spanish teacher, Mr Slone. We adored her. I still think of her often as I remember important skills she taught us & the sweet love and enthusiastic encouragement she gave to each of us. She will be missed by many, but her goodness will always be a part of us. My condolences to her family and loved ones.

A mi amiga especial, Virginia...
You commented to me one time that you never understood why so many people have candles in their homes with new wicks...that a candle should be lit to enjoy the beauty of the flickering flame, the fragrance & the ambiance. You have been that special, bright light that has been enjoyed in the lives of your loving family & friends and so many colleagues & students. You will certainly shine on in all of our treasured memories together forever. Peace & love to you, my dear, dear friend.
