William (Bill) G. Kite
1946 - 2013
William (Bill) Kite, 67, of Anderson, passed away October 17, 2013.
He was born to the late John and Janice Kite on August 18, 1946.
Bill graduated from Shasta High School and attended Shasta College on his way to becoming an ASE certified auto mechanic. He married his wife of 44 years, Peggy Kite in 1967.
Bill was a Master Tech mechanic and in 1993-2006 was owner/operator of Kite's Auto Repair in Anderson, California, but his true love was Kite Ranches, the family cattle ranching business. He loved the outdoors, and provided stewardship for the land, his livestock, and the native animals. He also loved hunting and fishing. Instead of retiring, he joined the new Wal-Mart Store and Team in Anderson and continued his love of serving and helping people until his death.
Bill was a member of the Shasta County Cattlemen's Association for 40 years, along with various sportsmen's organizations.
Bill is survived by his wife Peggy of Anderson, CA, and his two children William E. Kite of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, and Pamela (James) Greer of Oro Valley, Arizona. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Sidney Kite, and Jared, Brynn, and Holly Greer. Bill also leaves behind cherished extended family and friends.
Donations can be made in Bill's memory to: Shasta Co. Cattlemen's Association Scholarship Fund, 5467 Shoup Rd, Igo, CA 96047.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Millville I00F Hall
located at: 22551 Silverlode Rd., Palo Cedro, CA 96073.

Bill Kite was my dads best friend since kindergarten. I have many memories as a young boy, hunting or fishing in the bald hills with my dad and Bill. Peggy, Billy, and Pam...You guys are in my thoughts and prayers. Will always remember Bill working cows and as a young kid that didn't know much about cars, stopping by the shop when something wasn't working right and he would help me fix it.

Peggy I am so sorry for your and your family's loss. I worked with Bill at Walmart. I started in his area in July and from the first time I came in he just took me right in. Made me feel right at home and taught me a lot. He always had a smile and a joke. I will so miss hearing him say hi Sunshine! I miss him everyday .. My thoughts and prayers are with you..

To Peggy and Family & Friends, I was so saddened to hear of Bill's passing. I first met Bill when he owned his auto shop. I also worked with him at Walmart, and in over 20 years I haven't owned a vehicle that he didn't help keep running. He was such a Generous man. Peggy and Family....Can't believe this has happened. We remember the first time we met Bill when you all came to Nebraska for Grandma and Grandpa Myer's 50th Wedding Anniversary. We so enjoyed coming to California for Aunt Luda and Uncle Claris's birthdays.

We are so sorry to see that Bill will no longer be at Wal Mart for his friendly "HELLO" . All the help over the years from Bill will never be forgotten. WE will have to say "Hi BILL" and look up into heaven when we go in there now. He was always so busy, but never too busy to answer a question or take you to find something.
