Dona and Bob Butler
March 4, 2011
Cliff was always a special man and friend for us. His presence always provided a better moment for us. His success is beautifully expressed by Ralph Waldo Emerson's poem:
"Success: To laugh often and much, to earn the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayals of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden path, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.
We will truly miss him.
Our sympathy, in his passing, for those who mourn his death.
