Evelyn G. "Ralph" Campbell

Evelyn G. "Ralph" Campbell, 89, Springfield, Mo., formerly of North Platte, died July 6, 2016, in Springfield.
Ralph was born May 12, 1927, in Healing Springs, Ark. to Jay Hugh Buck and Sallie Ann (Morgan) Shook.
The family moved to Iowa, where Evelyn attended school. She worked in banking for a while, and was the chief operator in North Platte for the Bell Telephone Company. She met Alvin W. Campbell and the two were married Nov. 3, 1968, in Omaha. The couple lived in North Platte; Omaha; Pocatello, Idaho; and Salt Lake City, Utah; and retired to Sun City, Ariz.; then to Rogues, Ark.; and finally Springfield.
Ralph volunteered at hospitals in the cities where she lived. She played the organ, sang, and was a good yodeler. She enjoyed singing at rodeos with her sister, had a great sense of humor, and was lots of fun.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a grandson, Alex Pacheco; and her siblings, Theodore, George, Hugh, and Audrey.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin Campbell of Springfield; children, Kevin (Maggie) Summers of Omaha, Kathy (Dave) Perry of Essex, and Tom (Joyce) Campbell of Ridgedale, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved pet, Meko.

Services were Friday, July 15, 2016, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim Eighmy officiating. Burial followed at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell.
