Rickie Roquel "Rick" Kimpson

1953 - 2022

Rickie Roquel "Rick" Kimpson, 69, Emerson, formerly of Red Oak, passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.
Rick was born Feb. 13, 1953, in Red Oak. He was the son of Eldora and Jimmie McClintock. He was raised in Red Oak, where he attended school.
Rick's first job was with Bon Ton Cleaners in Red Oak. Over the years, he worked for Nachurs, D & L, and Red Oak Greenhouse for the past 20 years.
Rick was united in marriage to Sandra Bissell on April 30, 2000, in Las Vegas, Nev. They made their home in Red Oak until moving to Emerson about five years ago. Rick loved traveling, especially to Colorado. He also loved his dog, Stella.
Preceding him in death were his biological father, Raymond Kimpson; and his father, Jimmie McClintock.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Kimpson of Emerson; mother, Eldora McClintock of Red Oak; children, Damian Kimpson and wife Sarah of Omaha, Neb.; Rachel Fussell and husband David of Red Oak; Jennifer Dukes and husband Tanor of Shenandoah; Michelle Petereit and husband Jon of Emerson; Janet Stone of Clearmont, Mo.; and Nicole Kimpson of Red Oak; 15 grandchildren; brother, Mike Kimpson and wife Terri of Griswold; sister-in-law, Patty Meek and husband Randy of Red Oak; brothers-in-law, Lonnie Bissell and wife Roxanne of Omaha, Neb.; and Dallas Morrison of Red Oak; and many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life visitation was held Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family.
