Sandy A. Hunt
FAIRMONT — The Rev. Sandy A. Hunt, 66, of 118 Canyon Drive, was born in Dillon County, S.C., on Aug. 7, 1949, a son of the late O.K. "Dick" and Annie Mae Hunt.
Hunt was a retired employee of the public school system of Robeson County with 28 years of employment.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lee Mauney.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Annease Drive Praise and Worship in Rowland, Bishop Kenny Mitchell and the Rev. Timmy Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Rev. Sandy Hunt is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ruby Hunt of the home; a son, John Lee Brunson; a daughter, Renee Safford; a grandson, John Lee Brunson Jr.; four brothers, Billy Hunt of Pembroke, Norman Hunt (Edith) of Virginia Beach, Rev. Jimmy Hunt (Rose) of Lumberton and Rev. Jimmy Rae Hunt (Teresa) of Little Rock, S.C.; four sisters, Macy Hunt of Pilot Mountain, Ruthie Jane Lewis of Fairmont, Helen Oxendine of Pembroke and Arlene Tumlin of Rowland; an adopted daughter, Jessica Hunt; three adopted grandchildren; two adopted grea- grandchildren; three special friends; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Revels Funeral Home Lumberton.

Brother Sandy a friend a brother in Christ the time we spent together priceless.He had a sense of humor we love to pieces a beautiful smile a charming laugh that filled us with laughter his talents to numerous to mention but one that has no comparison a very articulate painter.......our loss is heaven's gain my deepest sympathy to the family.
