Adam Tew Obituary
Adam Robert "Art" Tew, 28, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 at home.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 PM at Central Baptist Church in Dunn, NC. Burial will follow in William C. Jackson cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Art was a loving soul and a gifted artist. He is a graduate of J.H. Rose High School and earned a welding degree from Pitt Community College. He has most recently been working in metal arts and sculpture. Art was a music lover and adored animals. He was a devoted son and brother.
Art was preceded in death by his grandfather, Adam O. Tew; and grandmother, Maria Savino.
He leaves behind his parents, Kathy and Ed Tew; brothers, Austin Tew and Wesley Cain, all of Greenville; grandparents, Wilma Tew of Dunn, and Bob and Claire Savino of West Long Branch, NJ; special aunt and uncle, Michael and Patricia Savino; numerous cousins; and beloved cat, Longshanks.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina, 3520 Tupper Drive, Greenville, NC 27834 or Spay Today, 4550-B County Home Road, Greenville, NC 27858.

Art was a dear friend throughout high school and parts of college, I spent many evenings and weekends at his house talking, watching obscure foreign films he had found, and driving around with friends in his van when there wasn't anything else to do in a small college town. I'm remember Art's sense of humor, kindness, and generous ability to listen. I will miss Art and am ever grateful to have these memories with him. I send my love and support, especially to Wesley.

Words can not express the sorrow and pain we feel for the loss of your son, Art and the brother he has always been to Austin & Wesley.
