A native of Greene County, Ann was born November 3, 1934, to the late Berry and Lillie Jackson Taylor. Ann also served on the Grimesland Board of Aldermen, including terms as mayor pro tem and mayor.

Ann was active in church and community activities and extraordinarily devoted to her extended family and many friends. She was a life-long member of Proctor Memorial Christian Church in Grimesland, where she had been involved in many different ministry roles. In more recent years, she had faithfully attended Black Jack Original Free Will Baptist Church.

Ann was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Graham Hudson, following 44 years of marriage, and by her brothers Berry Taylor and Billy Ray Taylor.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Noah J. Buck; daughters Laura Lynn Hudson of Greenville; Lisa Gay Hudson and husband, Jackson Chow, of Alpharetta, GA; and Carla Hudson Lewis of Douglasville, GA; stepdaughters Karen Buck James of Winterville and Joni Buck Worthington and husband, Wayne, of Raleigh; grandchildren Hudson and Taylor Chow, both of Alpharetta, GA; Cole Lewis of Douglasville, GA; Rachel Lewis of Pensacola, FL; Al Worthington of Cary; and Mary Clarke Worthington of Raleigh; sisters-in-law Ann Taylor of Greenville and Gay Hudson of New York City; and nephews David Taylor and Jimmy Hardison, both of Williamston, and Steven Taylor of Charleston, SC.

The family will receive friends Thursday prior to the service from noon to 12:45 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Parkinson Research Foundation, American Parkinson Disease Foundation, Parkinson Plaza, 135 Parkinson Ave., Staten Island, NY 10308-1425; Black Jack Free Will Baptist Church, 2972 Black Jack-Simpson Road, Greenville, NC 27858; Proctor Memorial Christian Church, PO Box 159, 505 River Road, Grimesland, NC 27837; or the charity of one's choice.

I am sorry to hear about the loss of Mrs. Buck. I grew up knowing her as Mrs. Hudson. She is a great loss to the community and Noah. She was a beautiful lady on the outside and inside. I pray for Noah and his extended family.
