Carlos "Los" Grangrade III
GREENVILLE - Carlos Grangrade III November 12, 2025, Age 68, Greenville, NC Carlos Grangrade III, affectionately known as "Los," passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, in Greenville, North Carolina, at the age of 68. Carlos was a friendly, outgoing soul with a youthful spirit and a heart full of love for his family and community. A true kid at heart, he dedicated his life to uplifting others-most notably through his remarkable 41-year career at the Nantucket Boys and Girls Club. As the longest-serving staff member in the Club's history, Carlos helped guide generations of Nantucket youth, offering mentorship, laughter, and unwavering support to countless adolescents navigating life's challenges. He is survived by his brother Richard Grangrade; his nephew Benjamin Grangrade and wife Nicole; his uncle Linwood Jones and wife Peggy; and cousins Ronnie and Karl Grangrade-along with many, many others who will miss him dearly and remember him fondly. In accordance with Carlos's wishes, a quiet family service was held to honor his life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Nantucket Boys and Girls Club, continuing his legacy of care and commitment to young people. Rest in peace, Los.
